This mounting bracket was developed for users who rely on Nanuk cases to protect instruments, cameras, and other gear in demanding environments and need those cases mounted securely. Common use cases include field data collection stations, boat-mounted equipment, vehicle installations, and fixed outdoor deployments.
Slotted mounting holes allow the bracket to accept a wide range of U-bolt sizes, making it adaptable to pipes, poles, and tubing commonly found in marine, industrial, and off-road settings. For fixed installations, the bracket can also be screwed directly to a flat surface such as a wall, bulkhead, or equipment panel.
Case installation is tool-free: the Nanuk case handle hooks over the top retention tab, and the bottom of the case slides into the formed retaining fingers. The geometry provides strong passive retention during vibration and movement. For users who want additional security—such as in high-motion or unattended installations—a hole is provided for a user-supplied toggle or bungee cord.
The bracket is also compatible with Leeman Geophysical’s 90-degree pole mount kit, allowing the case to be oriented with its lid parallel to the ground. This configuration is particularly useful for time-lapse camera cases or other applications where orientation matters.
